The Perfect Night! (Las Vegas 2)

We're in Vegas again, so for one or all of the contestants, let's hopefully have "The Perfect Night!"

Contestants: Michael Gonzalez, Tiffany Moore, Kristin Withers

Toss-Up 1: Proper name
_ _ _ _ / _ _ N
_ _ _ _ _

Michael immediately nails this puzzle, so he can go to a BLUE MAN GROUP concert with his first bit of money!

Toss-Up 2: Place
_ H E / _ P P I A N
_ A Y

This should've been "On the Map", but Tiffany IDs THE APPIAN WAY in Italy, so she'll spin first.

Trip on the Wheel: St. Lucia, $6,500

This next round will make one contestant really lucky.

Jackpot Round: Food & drink

Tiffany
Gift Tag! - No R.

Kristin
Right-side $1 Million Bankrupt (slipped past $550)!

Michael
$500 - 1 S.
1 A. OK, that last word's not CUPCAKES.
Bankrupt! Pat doesn't say anything about it. Crazy game going on...

Tiffany
1/2-Car! - 2 T's!
1 E.
Free Play! - 1 L!
1 I.
2 O's!
$300 (nearly hit the Wild Card) - 1 C.
The other 1/2-Car! - 2 M's! And she spins again...
Jackpot! - 2 P's!

Now for the big-time score...

P L U M P / _ _ I C _
T O M A T O E S

Set off those fireworks! Tiffany eats up some big PLUMP JUICY TOMATOES for $3,050, an $8,800 Jackpot, and a $10,000 car! She's earned a whopping $21,850 cash and car that round! Great job!

Michael: $1,000 Toss-Up money
Tiffany: $23,850 cash and car
Kristin: $0

Mystery Round: Fictional place

Kristin
$300 - 1 R.
$450 (slipped past the Wild Card) - 1 S.
Caribbean! - No L. Darn.

Michael
$450 (nearly hit the Caribbean trip) - 2 T's!
No I.

Tiffany
Wild Card - 2 N's!
$600 - No M.

Kristin
3 E's!
1 A.
1 O. Only consonants left.

E N _ _ A N T E _
_ O R E S T

Kristin gets out of an ENCHANTED FOREST to turn her zero into a thousand.

Michael and Kristin: $1,000 each
Tiffany: $23,850

Prize Puzzle: Place (the first word is quite long)

Michael
Free Play! - No N. What?
Left-side you-know-what Bankrupt. And it slipped past $1 Million! Darn.

Tiffany
$600 - 1 R. She makes a questionable move of using her Wild Card on that space.
Wild Card - 1 S. Another 6 Benjamins for her.
2 E's! I know the second word.
2 A's!
$900 - 2 L's! It's not ARCHITECTURAL.
1 I.
2 O's!
$600 - 2 C's!
$450 - 2 M's!

A R C _ E O L O _ I C A L
M _ S E _ M

With another $4,100, Tiffany (keep thinking it's Kristin) can visit an ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM in ATHENS, GREECE! That trip is worth $8,000, so she's earned $12,100 that round!

Michael and Kristin: $1,000 each
Tiffany: $35,950 cash and Greece

Toss-Up 3: On the map (so this is why T.U. #2 is a Place)
   T _ _ / I _ _ _ _ A _
_ _ V _ E _ _

Strange setup, huh? That's how it was. Anyway, it's another Italy-related puzzle, and Michael quickly IDs THE ITALIAN RIVIERA to quadruple up.

Round 4: Phrase

Michael
$600 (nearly hit $5,000) - 1 N.
$300 - No T.

Tiffany
$300 - 2 R's!

Final Spin value: $1,300

Still Tiffany's turn - No L.
Kristin - No C.
Michael - No M. That's not good.
Tiffany - No P. Uh-oh.
Kristin - 1 S. Finally...
Michael - 1 D. I thought it was I WAS DARN RIGHT! LOL!!!
Tiffany - 1 E.
Kristin - No H.
Michael - 1 W. Can he solve it with this setup?

I / W _ S / _ _ R N
R E _ D _

Nope.

Tiffany - 2 A's!

I / W A S / _ _ R N
R E A D _

Someone's saying, "I WAS BORN READY". And it's Tiffany! She turns $600 into $1,000 with that solve, but she's the blowout winner!

Michael: $4,000 Toss-Up money
Tiffany: $36,950
Kristin: $1,000

Bonus Round: Living thing

What will the dominant Tiffany do next?

She lands on the R in AMERICA'S.

RSTLNE add the first two letters of this solution:

E S _ _ _ _
_ _ _

I know the first word, but she knows the whole puzzle! She picks DMGI:

E S _ I M _
D _ G

She can buy an ESKIMO DOG worth $30,000! She leaves us with $66,950, cash, car, and Greece!

You really made this night perfect, Tiffany! Good luck in your future!

1 comment:

  1. The theme really fit this night!

Toss-Ups: Good job to Michael for nailing two out of three!

Round 1: Great round for Tiffany!

Round 2: Kristin, I would've gone on for the remaining consonants if I were you.

Round 3: Another nice round for Tiffany! She shouldn't have used her Wild Card on the $600 space, but oh, well.

Round 4: Why not go for the consonants, Tiffany? Well, you would've won anyway?

Bonus Round: I was hoping for something other than $30,000...but Tiffany is being impressive again!

Rating: 10/10! Tiffany was PERFECT tonight!
